A modular threshold explores the relationship between bodily movement and architectural scale.

A question of scale
This demonstration starts with the distance between a hand and a wall. Repeating a simple folded element transforms a small touchpoint into an inhabitable surface.
Making & testing
Three model scales expose different questions: material stiffness at the hand, visibility across a room and circulation through a larger assembly. The drawing is a placeholder for future model photography.

Reflection
A compelling transformable object is not automatically a useful space. Further work would examine maintenance, inclusive reach ranges and what happens when several people interact at once.
